We are a family that is called, and empowered by God for the ministry. We are His servant. The Lord is grieving over His people perishing, being taken advantage of and neglected by church "leaders", as well as by the government. The poor are being preyed on from the pulpit as well as from the White House. People are seeking answers, but by putting our trust in what man says. That is the first and biggest mistake as believers.
We need to realize, that all of the answers we need will come form a true relationship with our risen Lord Jesus Christ, and abiding in Him. He has the answers to all of our woes, ailments and anxieties. Not me, or any man or person in the pulpit.
We, in the pulpit, are to be vessels and vehicles in which the Lord uses and speaks through to build up His boby of believers, the Church. I do not hold an ounce of truth, but I can point you to the One who holds ALL truth. The best that any true person of God can do is point you to the Jesus Christ, the Author and the Finisher of our Faith. It is everyones responsibility to yield ourselves up as vessels to be used of Him, and By Him for His glory.
How many know that it takes more than just having a saving knowledge of Christ, to get you into the kingdom? Coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior sent to save all the world through his death and atonement on the cross for the sin of the world (John 3:16, Roman 5:11-21) is the door to the kingdom (John 10:1-2,7) there is a definite path that we are to walk. A very narrow path. (Matt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.)
2Pe 1:10 wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2Pe 1:11 for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
My wife and I have determined in our spirit that we will give our all to serve the Lord.
We are striving to do what the Lord has called us to do, and say what He has called us to say. We strive to be faithful in all of the things of the Lord. Our duty as servants of Christ, and our hearts desire, is to bring the Word of Jesus Christ to a perishing and hurting people, whether believer, or non believer!
I do not worry about trying to impress people with what I think I know. It's all about Him.
Have you allowed the Lord to correct you and show you anything that may be hindering your walk and/or growth in Him? If so, surrender it to Him now, don't wait. Purpose yourself to live for Jesus Christ, and Him alone. Seek the discernment that comes form the Holy Spirit alone, and not man.
Yes, God uses whom He wills, but it is ultimately His word, and it is He who must empower us!
