All you have to do is look around you, listen to the radio, read the newspapers, watch the t.v, and you will know something, terrible and satanic is happening spiritually!
Look at all of the wars, and rumors of wars. Earthquakes in different places where you wouldn't normally have them. Look at the rampant murders, rapes and suicides, especially in our schools, and against our children! The poor are suffering more and more, while the rich are prospering more and more. The gap between the poor and the rich grows wider and wider each day. Most can barely afford to put gas in their cars.
Look at the state of believers. We are supposed to be the light and the salt of the earth, and we are everything but that! There is as much sin(if not more) in the life of the "believer" as an unbeliever.
Why is that? And please don't say "because we are flawed humans ..."! We prostitute and sell the gospel for a buck. We have allowed our Churches to become a marketplace. We preach a gospel that is different from the one that Jesus, and the Apostles preached, stood on and died for.
Have you Noticed the frequency to which "new" gospels are being discovered that totally contradict what we already have in our bible, and people would rather believe them? Sadly, alot of "them" are Professing believers.
Matthew 24:12 says, the love of many shall wax cold, because of the evil in these days. The word translated "love" in this verse is the word "Agape" which is God's love! Jesus wasn't referring to the love that the world has to give, He was talking about believers ,Those of us who profess Christ as our Lord.
We are truly living in the last day, of the last hour.
1John 2:18
18 Little children, it is the last hour. Just as you heard that an Antichrist is coming, so now many Antichrists have appeared. This is how we know it is the last hour.
(The apostle John's epistles were written toward the end of his life, somwhere around 95AD. This is contrary to one belief, that the last hour or last day that was spoken about in the gospels, were at the time of the destruction of the temple in 70AD)
It is my sincere and deepest prayer and hope that we would stop accepting ideas as scriptural, just because it sounds good and fits fleshly and worldly views and desires! Stop accepting man's doctrine, just because it is the way you have always believed!
Stand and be challenged to allow God to be your all sufficiency! You are being cheated out of a relationship with your heavenly Father! If you continue to follow these false teachers and prophets, your reward will be the same as theirs!
Mat 6:2-5 Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, do not trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. 3 But you doing merciful deeds, do not let your left know what your right hand does, 4 so that your merciful deeds may be in secret. And your Father seeing in secret Himself will repay you in the open. 5 And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the open streets so that they may be seen of men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.
